 THE TRAVELING LIFELONG BUSH POET

THE PICNIC

We were having such a picnic
When the uninvited guests all came~
One million and one little ants
They made the whole day such a pain~
They helped themselves to all the sweets
And they got into the jam~
They crawled all over all the meat
And even into the frying pan~
But it was just the limit
When they crawled up grandma's leg~
And they bit her too it is true
And the things my grandma said~
We were having such a lovely picnic
When the uninvited guests all came~
My dad he just laughed out loud
And said he thought it was going to rain ~.
