Of Ebony and Ivory
Upon the keys soft striking chords
Another song, a cry for more
Will be his way to entertain
Aficionados, his claim to fame
One man band yet so much more
His repertoire each time will score
A melody composed to bring
A love song too sad to sing
A piece to follow to jump and jive
To just listen, enjoy live
Sweet music, lending to ear
Another song once heard one hears
Fingers shall dance across keyboard
Ballet each one performs what's stored
Inside a soul that plays encores
Outside on keys from heart is poured
Piano man, no that's common
Too little name for what does bond in
Musician, man, playing Ivories
Mixing it up with Ebony
Written for William Morris. Smooth Jazz Pianist, composer
A blessed encounter while gassing up at SAMS
