STREAMS ALONG THE RIVERBANK
STREAMS ALONG THE RIVER BANK
Streams along the river bank
Solitude
Without a rank
Of noisy people to elude.
Slippery tadpoles 'round my feet
Silence
As the chilly waters greet
My muddy dalliance.
A breeze drops by to brush my hair
Alone
I am gone from my despair
For now, its temporary zone.
A flock of swans pass by my way
Quietly
As if their beauty's meant to stay
Inside my reverie
Sounds of natures gentle calm
Hush
Their melodies a soothing balm
What need have I to rush?
Streams along the river bank
Seclusion
Humbly, I have God to thank
For my moments of illusion...
Love, Pam
