To Phil and Stephanie_In Endless Love
If love could ever delay an untimely departure
It would be Phil's love for you in this I'm sure of
For over the years he's taken care to lovingly nurture
Upon meeting your love grew and in the Lord it matured
Then comes the highest level of love ever known
Putting aside your feelings not seeking your own
When the one you love is suffering wanting to go home
The ultimate love surrenders to let them go on
It is written to love your wife as Christ loved the church
My brother your love for Stephanie shows with honor all her worth
I often use you as an example of this command given
Wholeheartedly and willingly you've loved her as it is written
I called to say "I love you" to the both of you today
Her courage and strength surpasses any words I could say
With your heart breaking you said "God doesn't make mistakes"
Howbeit when the time comes Stephanie's life you'll celebrate
With a heavy heart in these last hours or days I will pray
The same strength and courage she has shown will manifest
in all when needed
My Sis-n-law and Sister in Christ again I will see
In heaven above made whole you'll show God's glory
On earth time and circumstances both hindered us
So I've tied you to my heart sending prayers up to Jesus
The Holy Spirit guided me last night for this poem to write
Unbeknownst to me before God called you unto your eternal life
I love you Phil and Stephanie as my heart also breaks today
My love and prayers in spirit go out for all your friends and family
Although it will ultimately be heaven's gain
It will be bittersweet for my brother is saying good-bye
to His wife and best friend
As well as her children and grandchildren she'll sadly be leaving
When you enter heaven's gate give hugs and kisses to all
Our family that will be waiting for our heavenly call
I feel in my spirit the trumpet of God will soon sound
Then all of us that are in Christ will be heaven bound
