when forces
of the Universe
scourge
the tree in Eden's Garden
Politeness, smirked,
no, "beg your pardon,"
casts a face of petulance
in stone to its own circumstance!
Purposeful the blight upon
red apples, shriveled
black to rot,
doubtless evil forces;
pesticide their plot.
Nor without discrimination
seeds spread foul the air
with doom, the Devil's satisfaction;
blighted, Man's despair.
We shriek and mourn
the cancer
born to our regrets.
"Why?"
begets no answers
while man lays blame
beyond his debts.
Faith reserved
for those of us
who "claim" the name of God
we trust,
frame our lives
with ego, lust
Our truth, Political;
regurgitated rust!
Without his own humility
man bores through his
humanity,
he opens forces
he can't see
blindly, picks from Eden's tree
Again~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
His yen for power, passing greed,
soils the world with ugly deed;
perversities his main obsession
Nations follow his regression.
Until he finds
his own back yard
full of rotted apples.
Man, completely
caught off guard
while good and evil
forces grapple...
