You are a golden leaf
amid the leaves of green that cling to the Tree of my Life.
The wonders of your beauty stir to passion
the still winds of my mind
rousing emotion
long imprisoned within its crypt of time.
As the magnetic phase of the moon
seduces the ocean's shifting tide
so too, does the shadow of your image
unleash the sapling waters of my desire.
The essence of your nature
nourishes the dormant seedling of my awareness
as I shamelessly gorge on the fruits of your offering
and emerge from the darkened earth within myself
blooming sensuously to the light of your intrigue.
Peacefully drifting back toward the dawn of reality
yet,exalted still by my experience,
I savor the lingering vision that clings to my memory.
For today the Tree of my Life
is shrouded only with leaves of green.
