GRAM-GRAM

When I am gone
You will live on
You tell your grandkids
About me
Your momma or your granny...
How she hitch hiked this America
How she cared for you
How she laughed and cried
How she kept on writing, loving and caring about you
Until she died.

Because through being gone
A person still lives on
In the minds of those who love them
They are still alive
We can envision them
We can feel their spirits strong
We can look to the sky
And sing them one of Gram-Gram's
Heartunes songs.
