The Purpose
The Word of life was from the start,
Embedded in every heart;
As we have seen it and have heard,
Every portion of the Word.
We have been touched as we observed,
Knowing that we are underserved;
To a new life being revealed,
In which should have just remained sealed.
Even with all of our fuss,
This life was revealed onto us;
As we have seen we testify,
So that others may purify.
For we talk of eternal life,
And at last leave behind the strife;
That has plagued us throughout the years,
Which tried to reinforce the fears.
This is the life we see and know,
The straight and narrow we must go;
No taking side trips or detours,
Neither looking behind closed doors.
A life for a relationship,
As sweet nectar you take a sip;
Kinship with the Father and Son,
That we are becoming as one.
So if we confess our sin,
The blood of Christ cleanses within;
And become a blessing in His sight,
For us to live within the light.
But if we continue to embark,
While with living in the dark;
Truth is not there and we do lie,
Then our life will truly die.
