 My today's thoughts

EVERGREEN

EVERGREEN

Dew covered mountains
Pine buds freshen the cold air

I remember you standing behind me
the soft warm feeling of your jacket against my skin

the big red sweater you brought me to wear
it felt good against the spring wind

The steaming cups of coffee
sweetened just right

You were my love
I was your wife

Together we faced the new day
as the pine trees with the wind did sway

Isaiah 55:12-13  KJV

12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace:
the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing,
and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree,
and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree:
and it shall be to the Lord for a name,
for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.

I am thinking of you today, my love, and remembering you
