And then she left
Leaving a hole in his heart
that once was her home
Remnants of memories
blowing 'round in his mind
What was his heart,
now shards of glass
fragile and weak
where there was once strength
a barren desert devoid of rain
that was her love
nourishing his soul
His skin a burning memory
of the touch that used to
light his fire
Now all this is left
is the dark shadow of her presence
fading from existance
as his ears ring
with the echo of her goodbye
...and then she was gone..
