 The Sound of Darkness
Silence creeps upon me dauntingly,
As I quake beneath the covers.

My knees tremble nervously,
As I hear relentless howling and
wicked laughter.

Its bitter and icy and the naked wind
Is whistling sharply.

Dark shapes and colours flicker through my eyes.

The wild storm is bellowing,

And the clouds are churning up the rain.

A quick jump of wild thunder creates a shudder as it crackles,
and sounds like pain.

I am fearful...

This is the sound of darkness!
