Love moves me to despair and then
The pain
Beats upon my heart
Like driving rain
Never before have I said those words
Which fly upon the clouds like exalted birds

No-one ever has caused this stir
This feeling which leaves me gasping
For air
The mere mention of your name
My life will never be the same

Once upon a life many years ago
A faltered step, nowhere to go
You channelled faith into my belief
Your smiling face erased the grief

Don't forget me when you are old
Search for me one day
When your heart
Feels cold

For I shall still be waiting
Never fear
My darling man
I will forever hold your love so dear
