Buildings of such gentry
So very large and so grand-
Away out in the country
In oldest England-
Lawns vast and beautiful gardens
That like the sea seem to flow-
Oldest trees stand in green fields
Where the wildflowers they grow-
Buildings ever so old and sublime
How still proudly they stand-
Wonders of oldest perfection
Away out upon England's country land-
Its all been there for what seems longer
buildings built so far back in time-
When some of the earliest of the poets
Wrote their feelings then in rhyme-
Largest paintings they too hang so
And the largest tapestries galore-
Paintings so old upon the ceilings
Like now will not be seen anymore-
Hedges high and ever so groomed
Not a thing seems out of place-
All old but as well if ageless
Still all remains with such grace-
The many buildings of such gentry
So wonderfully large and so grand-
Away out in the English country side
