An Encouraging Word
I ask of you to please show,
Gratitude to those that lead;
Instructing both to and fro,
As they spread the Gospel seed.
Show them that you love and care,
Giving them a high respect;
Wisdom and knowledge they share,
Never attempt to reject.
For the time that they commit,
And they are able to share;
Is all for your benefit,
Being able to prepare.
With preparing for that day,
That Christ suddenly returns;
So merely trust and obey,
Till when each one of us learns.
Make all hostilities cease,
Start loving one another;
With each other live in peace,
Just as sister and brother.
Encourage them to live right,
Cheer up the ones that are weak;
Guiding them onto the light,
No longer temptations seek.
Be always joyful not sad,
And never look for payback;
As you pray in being glad,
Never jealous what you lack.
