Doubtful this day begins taking toll
Of you whom I love losing soul you took hold
To things around me, seen just by these eyes
Who sought, you found me, who hushed too my sighs
I fell once again as things around me
Crumble as Sand Castles feeling more than empty
The worst of me grows invading the garden
Of faith and my joy you graced and worked hard in
Ungrateful pursues me with intent of destruction
Cold callous hands grabbing hold of my passion
A beast known as burden becomes more of me
Empty my cup, without bread known as thee
In desert place fallen with no water to drink
In Son not of yours, in sand slowly sink
Where souls not of courage wallow in sorrow
Letting sin steal my breath and too my tomorrows
Failure but mine to know all the better
To hold to you Father in brief this short letter
With sight of my own with you here before me
Again upon knees, to you one and only
