peaches and cream©

Look at those dimples on that face so cute
i got to pinch those cheeks so precious,
oh that man such a beaut
how i long for just one kiss.
Every single day that smile greeted me
i was in paradise i swear,
now i'm in the deepest misery
cause that laugh is no longer there.
He had such a way
at him i could never stay mad,
even an argument couldn't ruin the day
cause i melted when i looked....
at what i had.
I had the moon and stars....
in his eyes of hazel
and heaven in his arms so strong,
but he's still my special angel
and i pray i'll see the light again....
before too long.
For the light has grown so dim
without that smile that lit up any room,
and that sparkle that came....
from my heaven
could wake a dead flower....
to magically bloom.
Often times all this peach fuzz appeared
when he shaved his skin was most smooth,
but i'd give anything for that heavy beard
even jaggy it would still soothe.
It's funny the things....
i complained about then
are things i wish i had back now,
i wanna go back and do it all over again
but this time only let him see me smile.
The day he died
he hadn't yet shaved,
oh how i cried
i miss that ritual how cute he behaved.
It's also funny when i touched his cheek
i didn't mind it felt rough to the touch,
for once i couldn't speak
i never thought i'd miss....
that scruffy beard so much.
He's the cream of the crop
peach fuzz and all,
my love for him will never stop
but without that big heart of a man....
to touch i feel so small!

One step at a time is best....
over many miles i travel,
this book of life
will be my biggest test.

Though my pain be a endless journey,
i'll keep the faith and go on.
One day i'll stop crying.....
for a promise was made,
this book of life
will be worth trying.

Reality i'll live my dreams come true,
when heaven opens up for me.
My Love will be there to greet....
for i passed the test,
this book of life
me it did not defeat!
