Cowboy Waltz
A city slicker that seeks to dance
A Cowboys waltz, thrown dice at chance
To dance slowly a second glance
To win her heart with pure romance
Ignored would be the other pairs
Of feet gliding where unaware
Would be my soul that dreams again
Till time whispers, a song without end
Head on shoulder which bared much weight
Of promises of just too late
Would breathe reprieve if just for now
As boots brush softly and showed me how
How to live, how it feels
To waltz just south of much appeal
To urban cowboy without a horse
Where two left meet made par the course
