and real love rocks

from the school of hard knocks

sort of a double edged gift
from the Lord above
Love breeds at the most
strangest times
loneliness breeds
inside your mind
If you're looking for love
it seems to run and hide
i know it has to start
with you inside
How can somebody love you
"If you can't"
gotta love yourself first
it works on a slant
look down inside you
and love yourself--stay true
Don't let nobody outside your mind
down you for being you
And when you've done this
and you are strong in your mind
Guess what--love comes
and your fate is signed
