My Baby Girl  (A sending off poem)

    My Baby Girl

The Lord took my lady
'bout a week ago today.
He sent an angel down
And took my baby girl away.
Her last few days
Were so full of pain.
The last few hours
She sat up and talked to me
Said, she didn't want to leave
But she had some place to be.
The lord was coming for her
She said, her soul i must release,
So that she could go to heaven
And i could live on in peace.
After a while of talking
Her pain came back sharp as a pin.
Then the Lord came for her
And took her home again.

My Love
My Dove
My Angel
My World
MY MY MY MY
My Pretty Baby Girl.

My baby's gone
And i'm here all alone.
Don't know if i can make it
here on my own.
She's up in heaven
Smiling down on me
But by her side
Is where i wanna be.
I had promised her
That after she was gone
In my heart and mind
She would live on.
That is a promise
That is hard to keep
For in my heart
I continually weep.

My Love
My Dove
My Angel
My World
My My My My
My baby girl.

I was there for her
Morning noon and night
Wanting her to live
Wanting her to fight.
But the Lords Plans
Out weighed mine
So she'll be waiting for me
In a better place and time.
Can i survive this
Big cold world
Can i survive
Without my Baby Girl.

My My My My
My Baby Girl.
