It's off to the beach am I
Got a great big yellow house
That sets right on the water
It has everything including a hot tub
It should be interesting this year
for my son is taking his girl friend
I'm taking my best friend Mike
and my husband is taking his niece
TO TAKE CARE OF ME
oh well that will leave him free for fishing
He's also getting a laptop for me
because he knows I'd go crazy with out one.
Now I want my hammock,
and he's saying "no way in h*ll"
It'll be interesting to see if he wins.
The guys will bring in 5 lbs of shrimp every day
I'll clean them up and boil them just right
then we lay out plastic on the table
and dump them right in the middle,
eaten with garlic butter or cocktail sauce
that's lunch every day
But the most fun of all is the crabbing
the whole family goes with nets, string
and chicken necks for all,
we usually catch enough to hand out to the neighbors
there is usually a middle of the night stroll
down the beach with my friend Mike
where we try to solve the problems of the world
During the day the biggest thing is hunting for sharks teeth
we all throw in a $5 into a bowl and at the end of the week
the person with the biggest and best sharks tooth winns all the money.
You know I've been dreading this
but just writing about it has changed my mind.
This may be my last trip so I need a positive attitude
So glad I had this little write,
this is totally for me.
