From the Heart Through the Pen

yosph
Forget Love

I know I've been left
And have left a few saying this...

F@^* love
How can something so right
Hurt so damn much
How does falling flat on your face
Make you feel so good
You're willing to feel that forbidden touch
To quicken your heart's pace
Willing to turn your world upside down
Then when the ship has sailed
You're the one left to drown

F@^* love
How does your blood, sweat, and tears
Given over countless days, months, or years
Poured devotionally
Given unconditionally
To someone who's just emotion free
Get taken for granted so easily
And with such blatant disregard
The one who saved your heart before
Has left it the most scarred

(sigh)…But f@^*, Love
How is it you have me
Ready to make a fool outta myself
I'd do all the above
For even one percent of your love
Times it by a million and
Give you every part of me
To have your heart beside mine
Wouldn't want anyone else's
Guess that makes my ignorance sublime
