 Treasures in the Trash
Eyes will glance briefly and turn
Upon Treasures that clearly yearn
For all to know of bridges burned
A chance to change of them to learn

How did life and how could we
Change a soul's lost destiny
A hand of hope, a word not spoken
Can help lift up and mend the broken

These treasures found some thought refuse
All children His battered and bruised
For life unkind has had its way
With many lost, with souls theirs pay

The Sun will rise but not for them
As shadows cast, no mercy lend
For darkness keeps them company
A chance to break what they don't see

Those who know a GOD that loves
You who thought were last thought of
That came to be the word in flesh
Like Him who paid for you priceless

Lead this day these souls misled
From broken homes and burning beds
From street corners they now call home
To light that calls to all alone

Bring them in as GOD brought you
To shelter storms from storms that brew
Another day from streets of old
Lead all His Treasured to streets of Gold

The pile, this heap once thought rubble
Mankind thinks less, not worth the trouble
For treasures strewn about this Earth
Are His precious, beyond all worth
