 JANET'S PLANET

Serenity

Sitting quietly in a parking lot
Breathing in and out
Soaking up the feel of this summer like day
Warmth from the sun
Lifting my spirit
Calmness all around
Listening to the beautiful sounds
Smooth jazz music playing
Car engines starting up and shutting off
Doors opening and closing
Motor cycles racing
Helmets covering cyclist heads
People talking and walking
Some laughing and smiling
Others talking on cell phones
People shopping carrying bags
Some wheeling carts
Woman walking breeze blowing through her hair
People planning now for days ahead
Closing my eyes
Mediating in dream like state
Savoring these moments
In the wink of an eye
This fine day will be gone
Serenity
