A Day in October
As I glance casually out the window,
I stop for a moment,
And soak up the beauty outside.
And look! There is a rainbow, painting
The sky a strip of beautiful blue, placid
Purple, dreamy yellow and ravishing red.
The expanse is merging with a gradient stream of
Yellow, gold, blue and grey.
All objects around are motionless,
And are like silhouettes standing completely at a halt.
The rain is falling cleanly. They are like crystals
Falling from the dainty clouds.
They are sparkling on the window, and on the metal gate.
They are like dewdrops.
Its sounds are tranquil, and soft as it bounces off the rooftops.
The sun is closing in, and evening is unveiled.
The rain stops and the dark is slowly revealed.
Temperatures drop lower than before,
And winds are more bitter.
This is October.
