An Epoch
There was an era when there were such exponents of comedy
Names the come to mind were men like Bob Hope and Jerry
Then there was the slide splitting comic that duo
Depicted by those fellows called Abbot and Costello
How those guys with their acts made people laughed so heartily
And those line just seem to come to them so naturally
Not like some today, not resorting to any sort of profanity
If implied, this was done in a manner so subtly
How well and unselfishly they went out to entertain
Just causing tears to fall down much cheek like rain
As any though of stress was relegated to the back burner
Because that was replaced but so much bouts of laughter
Then also the country scene came under an attack
By who, yes it was by the one they called the man in black
He also produces a moment which brought some laughter too
By his rendition of the song about “A boy named Sue”
Who can name the number of singer with who his voice blends
A few to mention, Willie, the Highway men and Mr. Jennings
How his voice sound so rich and as always so very sweetly
As they performed that hit called “Me and Bobby McGee”,
He also was a host on many a wonderful TV show
By doing this he gave many talented artistes a chance to glow
Never failing to give advice and where possible his assistance
Know full well that one as a human can go only a finite distance.
Now today the music industry, has embraced today's technology
There are instruments that by program can change sound instantly
One can sing praises to those giants like Microsoft and apple
Whose adaptability and even simplicity made such available?
Now this has allow some to sit before their lap tops
And access music readily for any of music spots
The ones who made such a process possible and still make updates
Are those men in the industry like Mr. Jobs and Mr. Gates?
I am sure for a long time there will be still May sobs
As there was the passing from this world of Mr. Jobs
Who has demonstrated that even an apple
Can be a force to reckon with a very fierce rival
Therefore it is possible that one can say Oh My Gosh
We are most certainly in a very interest epoch
There is this recession that is causing so much sobs
And in the process there is no Hope, no Cash and many are losing jobs
