Why how I ask in this day and age would this be
Though I've many answers I could think of true
But Why would a young girl have to leave home
To simply survive as many have in life have to do
Poverty gives birth to many other things at home
Abuse and much more than that most of the time
Endless children born into families that are so poor
Not knowing how they'll make ends meet down the line
Children grow as we all know loving their parents
Only wanting to be happiness,approval and respect
Hopefully like all other children they in life know
An education and good parents to love them and protect
But this is so often in this day and age not the case
And though many organizations do their best it's true
There are ever so many young God given souls still
Who suffer so and due to this leave their home they do
Not because they wish to but in desperation they walk away
As the life they know at home a living hell for them
With at home at times drugs and drink and arguments
And this drives a young healthy mind around the bend
They try and try to satisfy their parents always
But often there's nothing more these young souls can do
They'er the children not the parents within their home
And in desperation they often leave their home its true
They as well often get abuse from other children at school
Who never could know what these souls are going through
And simply half out of a young souls mind they walk away
Out there so many dangers like these young souls never knew
If I could be granted just one miracle in this life of mine
And know after wishing that for sure it would be a reality
I'd wish for all Gods dearest youngest souls upon earth
To only know happiness,parental love be free from poverty.
