The Gift

I asked in prayer for my pain to ease and in answer to my plea,
I felt the weight of His Despair, He shared His pain with me.
Without a word He said to me,'I have so much to give.'
I understood, I felt His love, as I regained my will to live.
A billion stars stared back at me as I pondered at the sky.
To feel so small and all alone and yet, I now know why.
I freely share that which I gained in my moment of despair.
With pen in hand I feel your pain and tell you that I care.
