In among the most woderful memories of times I loved
Was when I was away out and just slowly heading home
On my trusty pony slowly and not in any hurry at all
There singing a little of Don Williams all on my own
My ponies feet there beating a tune out along the way
And his ears twitching to my voice then and the song
His tail then doing what happy ponies tails they do
And the scenery slowly painting it's pictures all along
That rhythum simply brings a soul such very peace of mind
Rolling a smoke and knee over pummle hat on back of head
Enjoying the wonderfullness of Gods and natures many gifts
And in no hurry at all just my pony and I enjoying life instead
Listen ... You can hear that music thats ever so neat
As my pony struts along and makes music with his feet
As I'm singing sitting there , I can still hear that beat
Has a soul able to relax and enjoy life feeling complete
It's really a kind of country meditation all on it's own
Sitting there singing a song as one slowly heads on home
Away out where birds they fly high and cattle they roam
As the day slowly fades just you and your pony all alone
Theres such wonderful music in a ponies feet its true
Out among natures most wonderful gifts that there be
Slowly down a little dusty track maybe a little out back
Sitting on my pony , alone , enjoying , just my pony and me
Has a soul able to think and enjoy the peace that's all around
Slightly sqeaking of the saddle and the music as we poke along
With that lovely fragrance of nature drifting to us as we go
And simply enjoying singing a much loved Don Williams song.
