This course presents A/P from a managers view
But sometimes it is hard to have that mindset too
So I am also reading a suggested used textbook
After each lesson, giving a more hands-on look
The following are things I have learned to date
With some spiritual aspects in which to relate
Come along and join me in this new adventure
It is broadening my accounting skills for sure
They start the course with what is a manager
I pray you know Jesus and He is not a stranger
A manager manages, anticipates, and decides
The Holy Spirit helps every believer and guides
Lesson one also explains the key to management
Sales and customer service part of the department
The Bible is all we need as a road map for living
God's inspired Word given as His truth revealing
Lesson two is on the process of invoice handling
They give four steps as a guideline for tracking
From arrival, approval, return to A/P, and review
Using a log book helps avoid missing invoices too
Lesson three is on checks with three steps in general
Also focusing on rush checks and implications overall
Rush checks puts the customer first as a noted benefit
But there is a greater risk for error by normal steps cut
There are several ways to curb rush check abuse
Since one cause is receipt of an invoice past due
Take steps to improve invoice processing speed
State internal requests in writing with their need
Our society today is always rushing through life
But all of the pressures result in turmoil and strife
God provided the answer by sending His only Son
Jesus paid for all our sins and victory has been won
Salvation is God's free gift to everyone who believes
Not added good deeds, but His grace alone we receive
God will not weigh our obedience or good behavior
The way to Heaven is only by trusting Jesus as Savior
If unconfessed sin keeps us from that heavenly place
It would invalidate God's infinite mercy and grace
All believers are sealed by the promised Holy Spirit
Nothing we ever do can change eternal life we inherit
