Poetic-Verses
sleepless night
It's around four in the early morning.
And I am driving through empty streets
Amber lights overhead make everything sparkle
And the town seems like it is dead on its feet!
The speakers ooze out the sound
Of old Tom Waite! at his best.
Small change got rained on,
And I feel so calm and at rest.
Pulled into a bright light garage
One of my tyres was low and flat
A sign said “be back in ten minutes”!
I know he is praying on his mat.
The cars are all parked on verges
And they shine by the light of the moon
It's time for me to head home now.
For Daybreak will be coming soon.
And I am driving through empty streets
Amber lights overhead make everything sparkle
And the town seems like it is dead on its feet!
The speakers ooze out the sound
Of old Tom Waite! at his best.
Small change got rained on,
And I feel so calm and at rest.
Pulled into a bright light garage
One of my tyres was low and flat
A sign said “be back in ten minutes”!
I know he is praying on his mat.
The cars are all parked on verges
And they shine by the light of the moon
It's time for me to head home now.
For Daybreak will be coming soon.
