One thinks if theres any hope for the world
The way things seem to be in this day~
Maybe we should listen more to children
It seems they know the only way~
Children they still know how to
Obtain a world of peace and love~
Until they grow and the world at large
Teaches them at times to forget the lord above~
Children of the world all can still get along
If left alone to be just as they are~
Before most adults teach them other ways
And take childrens ideals away so far~
Children have the simplest of answers
Of how to solve their woes world wide~
And if we were to listen to them more so
Maybe we could all get along with love and pride~
Children can sense real sincerity
And children could teach most of us every day~
How to bring back a positive world that used to be
If we were to listen to their better way~
I'm ever so amazed no end
At childrens commonsense and sincerity~
At the way they look at the world at large
And indeed just how and what they see~
Oh I know and feel it will never happen
But it makes as much sense or more as some~
Just look at the powers that be this day and age
And just a few of the things they have done~
Hope for the world
Out of the mouth of babes that be~
Sure made more than so much sense
To little old open minded honest me ~
