Shima Nesari Haghighi Fard
Frame and Prison
In this prison I am a picture
All trapped in a wooden frame
Stood against a red brick wall
With my heart all in flame
Dusts and ashes all over my window
No ears to feel my howl
Nor eyes to remember my face
All I have is a slave soul
Trapped in darkness with all tears
No river to neat my window
Nor love to comfort my heart
But all darkness and grey shadow
Of the coach embraced in mist
And the brown silk curtain
Coldness dances in night's heart
While I ask for Lord's saint
I wish to break this frame
Till I breathe on the ocean's hand
Riding on an ark to the light
Far away from this sand
All trapped in a wooden frame
Stood against a red brick wall
With my heart all in flame
Dusts and ashes all over my window
No ears to feel my howl
Nor eyes to remember my face
All I have is a slave soul
Trapped in darkness with all tears
No river to neat my window
Nor love to comfort my heart
But all darkness and grey shadow
Of the coach embraced in mist
And the brown silk curtain
Coldness dances in night's heart
While I ask for Lord's saint
I wish to break this frame
Till I breathe on the ocean's hand
Riding on an ark to the light
Far away from this sand
