Life reveals itself!
Maple seeds give birth
sprouting in abundance
wide, green-eyed leaves.
Spring and Summer's endless envy
time-locked to each seasons mirth
from parent limbs
they change and grow
stunning into sun-drenched gold.
Vigilant are autumn spies
inside soft breezes restless
biding only Godspeed
on cue
where whirlwind swirls the leaves
to rust and fertilize the ground.
Maple branches pierce the sky
bare and bony skeletons
dead to those who see the skies
through leafless trees
and of the trees demise.
Still Morphean winter yawns awake
to visit timely friends
bringing gifts of downy snow
and glistening stalactites
while
earth beneath the Winter concrete
greets the Maples soul
Immortal Life reveals itself
We are blind
the seasons know!
