Oh won't you take my hand and come along with me
To a place so near to God where all is free
Such peace of mind despite below all diversity
Where it's a pleasure to breath in all sincerity
I fashioned my life after these mountains some
They became a part of myself and all I've done
These snow gums alone taught so much to me
How to grow and survive despite all diversity
Where one can see above and below the eagles fly
Where most born there remain until they die
One would not dream of improvement or even try
Up upon the Australian Snowy Mountains ever high
Where one can sleep so with such peace of mind
And so many Gods given gifts in one place to find
Once one's been there never to ever leave behind
Within collections of beautiful memories that bind
Up where one's as close to heaven as one there can be
And all around you the fragrance of the bush and tree
The flowers many natural some sown by the winds and birds
And to discribe this beautiful place one can't find the words
It all has one think of the good things and not the woe
As one's soul there feels blessed with Gods gifts to know
Where in mass one can see the wild flowers there grow
And where the entire mountain seems to welcome one so
Where in winter there's the blanket of most beautiful snow
And in every season that be helps one there so to grow
To appreciate life and love and peace as one gazes below
Where one becomes a soul with only good seeds to sow
Up where there's endless valleys so heavenly divine
And one can feel so reborn and simply within sublime
Where the wild mountain brumbies all run ever free
There's Gods own created wild life everywhere to see
Where the rivers begin from snow born and spring
Where there's endless symphonies that birds all sing
Where the most beautifil silence a soul can hear ring
And where only mountain style prose such verses bring
These beautiful mountains I've known since a smallest child
Where I first learned of life's values and attitudes mild
Among all the places upon this earth I have traveled far to
Upon these beautiful mountains I've loved like very few.
