Walk in the Word
I kneel in front of the Father,
Praying in the name of the Lord;
Jesus Christ who is my Brother,
Who is beloved and is adored.
From whom all in Heaven and earth,
As family receives its name;
God is Creator and gives birth,
As His Holy Word does proclaim.
I ask of God to give me wealth,
Of Your glory to empower;
To strengthen my spiritual health,
Throughout each day and each hour.
I pray that You give inner strength,
And the power through Your Spirit;
Persevering at any length,
And coping for enduring it.
Then through faith Christ will live in me,
Also that love will be my fruit;
So that many others can see,
Of the foundation of my root.
More people need to understand,
Your love is how deep and how wide;
As well as what You do command,
By telling us all to abide.
The love in Christ goes far beyond,
Any knowledge what we perceive;
But is up to me to respond,
In all that I truly believe.
