I'm going to dress as an angel
come halloween night,
i want every living soul
to know that love shines so bright.
The kids have such a ball
and they love getting candy,
but they have to know most of all
that sometimes life can really be scary.
The monsters and ghouls that make their way
around the neighborhood are just for fun,
but even in the light of day
darkness can fall on the most trusting one.
I'll come in peace as all angels do
it's not a trick it's a treat,
a magic spell will be put upon you
to be kind to all you meet.
Don't knock on doors all sweet with a smile
then be devilish with a prank,
stay sweet and fun loving all the while
on the rewards you can bank.
Now bad things happen to good people no doubt
but if you're basically good inside,
all you dream of will come about
if thru life behind a mask your true self you don't hide.
Go out and have your fun all kids young or old
but when it's over leave the monster behind,
don't let the bad spirit take a hold
go in peace and endless treats you'll find.
I'm not slamming halloween
i think it's just for fun and kicks,
it's not the devil making a scene
but guess who i am thrown in the mix.
I'm not perfect for crying out loud
going as an angel perfection is not my purpose,
i just want my Guardian Angel Faron in heaven to be proud
that i can still be a good person thru the darkness.
He gave me heaven on earth
i've been truly blessed for sure,
and his love more than all the candy bars in worth
it's scary all the time now without that angel at MY door!
