Promising Growth
Divine power from God given,
To us from His throne in Heaven;
With everything that we need,
For life and godliness indeed.
This power has been given through,
Knowledge of the one who called to;
By His glory for unity,
Being blessed through His sanctity.
Promising the highest value,
Are through His glory and virtue;
These promises are for you to share,
Being filled with His loving care.
Divine in nature since you ran,
From desires that God does ban;
And which has corrupted this earth,
Making it in losing its worth.
Attempt to add integrity,
Into your faith with dignity;
With the knowledge add self-control,
For strengthening your inner soul.
With Christian affection add love,
The same that comes from up above;
And the knowledge will bring wisdom,
You will be blessed from His kingdom.
Use more effort to make the call,
So you do not stumble and fall;
For the more you obey and trust,
The less you will be lured by lust.
