When he was born they all had their ideas
Of what he should be as he naturally grew
With all their stereo type ideas of life
But much about him they never ever knew
He was born a poet in every single way
Born with an ability to look deeply within
He always saw the biggest picture
Never ever in life missed a single thing
Most thought as a child he was a dreamer
But a dreamer was he not at all in no way
He never just saw the old car under a tree
But saw all it had been for many in its day
As much as any poet ever born to write
In his life would be among all he'd ever do
A soul to write of all he saw along the way
And ever sincerely and poeticly so very true
Not seeing life through rose colored glasses
But seeing what was actually there to see
With a totally different kind of vision
Able to see the past , present and destiny
He never just saw the old wino in the park
But he saw the many reasons beyond compare
And as well all those more so to blame
For him being that way , alone still out there
Not understood by ever so many in life
As his mind was in comparison way deeper still
And most they thought of him as many things
But never knew how he saw life as they never will
He documented in his very heart mind and soul
All that he felt and saw in his very own way
For he was born a seer and a poet from day one
And as such in life for ever that he'll stay
Along the way he adored all living things on earth
Not just the human form as many along the way do
He knew from the very day that he was born
Life was not all about man upon earth it's true
Traveling his ever so large earth home backyard
He found so much more than he could ever tell
As he had a very different vision than most do
Where upon this earth he was born this time to dwell
A poet born to be always through his entire life
A poet as that's how he would always think and feel
With the ability of a poet to look within at all
And only see what was there to see so very real
There are not a whole lot as old as he now may be
That have written during their whole life poetically
Sadness he feels that so many this day and age
Will never know so much of back when within memory.
