Trying Times
we live in a strange world...one that challenges our logic where economies falter...people battle...hostilities reign uncertainties looking over our shoulders as we try to live these are trying times for us...with no resolutions in sight the ones working hold on tightly to what jobs they have those not so lucky take whatever they can get to survive families are forced to adjust to the times...pennies are watched these are trying times for us...with no resolutions in sight rich get richer...poor gets poorer...the middle class disappears we sit and watch the world and wonder...where will it go the old begin to doubt their security...but refuse without a fight these are trying times for us...with no resolutions in sight some had hopes of travel when they retired...and leisure times now all that is available to them is the leisure times watching our children and grandchildren struggle daily these are trying times for us...with no resolutions in sight Vote for this poem
