Immortal Glory
If the life that we live,
Is ever taken down;
Our God does forgive,
Keeping us from a frown.
For it is by His grace,
That the Lord has given;
Reserving us a place,
Up above in Heaven.
The mansion was not made,
With any human hands;
But it is of top grade,
The way that God commands.
In the house we have now,
It makes us want to sigh;
We are lured to allow,
Things that God does deny.
For we cannot resist,
Temptation in its sight;
Treasures that does exist,
Pleasure with a delight.
But we do long to be,
In that house in Heaven;
And not naked will we,
Wearing white gowns given.
We want to live away,
From a place we called home;
Where we no longer stray,
Wandering as we roam.
