Poets are we one and all or try to be
We do our best to express ourselves~
Poets have bits of paper everywhere
Sometimes folders of it stacked upon our shelves~
We write about our daily lives
And of all what we take to heart~
We write about what bothers us in life
From daybreak until the next day is to start~
After some sometimes write reems of poetry
We come up with one we feel is really good~
So then we decide to allow others to read it
Feeling that this one sounds like you feel it should~
"ME" .. I write them down as they come to mind
From my mind heart and soul its true~
And every now and then there could be one of them
That I feel just might in life please a few~
Writing poetry is the greatest therapy
That I know upon this earth that we all live~
Allowing our souls to speak their very minds
And giving it all that we can ever give~
All those famours dead poets of days of old
Where in so very many ways just like me and you ~
They'd write poetry by the ream and basket full
And out of all of them they'd find one that would do~
They'd only publish the best of all of them
And they'd mostly throw the rest away~
"ME" I simply write it down just as is
Allowing the poet within me out to play~
Sometimes I feel theres a long gone poet
Behine me saying simply write it down~
There's nothen like telling it how it is
Some might laugh and some might wear a frown~
But I feel there's nothing like telling as it is
Poeticly as you then see it to be~
Expressing yourself as you feel within
Allowing the poetic soul within you free ~
