 Hellspital
The other day fate brought me back to Hell
To the place where I watched my mum die
Where I saw life slip away
Where I saw my life fade to nothing
Zero, was my number, zero was my life
I welcomed minus for when you fall
Rock bottom at least stops the sickness
And although I felt a few jabs and hooks
I stood up, I never went down
I dodged the blows, I was stronger
I had stamina, I had the skill, I had forgiveness
I had to see a client in hospital
Same hospital, same ward where mum was
6 yrs ago, flashback city, in full effect
But helping this elderly man, gain some self-respect
I knew my mum was still there
Guiding me to be the man I am and always was.
