God I kneel now to pray to you
I need you to help me here~
Theres those I truely care about
That'll need your love so dear~
God please do send an angel
To bless all those I love~
God please send me your blessings
With all your love from above~
And bless all those that hurt me
They need you to show the way~
God help me to be a better man
As I live from day to day~
All that I ask is that my own
Will be still able still to smile~
To know the meaning of comfort and love
Along lifes longest mile~
May they have food and clothing
May they always be able to care~
May their life be a life please God
One in life they can actually bare~
As a father I have done my best
As I've walked this life right through~
Taught them all about values
And yes I taught them about you~
I've told them money is but a tool
To get them from day to day~
That too much of its worse than non at all
And I told them not to forget to pray~
But I'm worried about my own so
Who depend on me it's true~
And God if Im not around one day
I need to know I can depend on you~
So please God keep an eye on them
As I'm on my way to war~
And I'm afraid that I wont come back
