Once when only just a little boy
I was on a steam train with my mum~
I was looking out the window
She screaming at me will you sit down son~
She said there's a tunnel comming up
And we will get covered so in soot~
Get back on that seat there
And for heavens sake stay put~
Into the tunnel like a bullet
The train flashed through so fast~
But their was a worker in there waiting
For that train to travel past~
He saw me hanging out that window
As excited as I could be~
He yelled at me with a big scream
And I landed back on the floor you see~
Out of that smokey tunnel
The train then it came out the other side~
Mum could not see me anywhere
She screamed I'll tan his blasted hide~
She thought that I had fallen out
So she then up and pulled the cord~
Yelling for it to stop right then
Asking help then from the lord~
She then saw me on the floor not game
To tell her I was there~
She grabbed me ever quickly
And might I say by the hair~
What she then said to me
I don't think I shall repeat~
But I can tell you I then had to look it up
And it was anything but nice and neat~
When we got home I will not forget
I will remember it for ever more~
I simply hate apple swiches and castor oil
And I still do and that's for sure~
