Where little rocky paths lead down to banks of green
Surrounded by the largest oldest elm trees~
Growing beside a river almost still as it was deep
Accompanied by the freshest river breeze~
Mountain fresh and cold the water deeper
As it flowed ever slowly upon it's way~
Across the river the tallest poplar trees stand
Towering as they bend slightly in breeze to sway~
Almost lawn like grasses grew so wild
Beautiful upon these banks in shade~
Some cattle grazing across the river deep
Up on the yonder hillside and grade~
Small birds playing within the trees leaves
A wild duck and family swim along~
Such a beautiful country
Silent back water holes full of trout
With willow roots and leaves within
Under the shady ever willow trees
To not appreciate such beauty would almost be a sin
Tranquility as nature sings it's song~
Just below the Australian Snowy Mountains
How many places just like this~
Are all along the rivers watery ways
One can enjoy the sublime mountains river bliss~
