Poetic Verses
Oh! Technology
It is so good to be in touch with people globally, via technology
How wonderful it is on that special occasion to talk to the family
But whilst it is a savior communicating globally, those local relations
Seem to be heading in a very different and even painful direction
Look at the youth as they go on the road to take stroll
It seems as though the black berry has them under control
Eyes clasp on it, and moving like if under its hypnotic spell
Quite oblivious to anything else around them, this you can tell
Wives to seem to be complaining to their friends a lot
Saying you know these days, my husband prefers his laptop
There his is surfing the web, and typing there in bed
Not even my sexiest negligee seems to make him turn his head
In homes now as people sit at the table for a meal
There they sit, acting as though their mouths are seal
But all engrossed in what seems to send that command
No cutlery, but all those electronic devices are in the hand
On a visit to my village could not find a youngster in the street
This sentiment was shared by the entire old friend I meet
So we all took and stroll by the newly constructed arcade
There they were all just fascinated by the electronic games to be played.
In my days on those long summer day from school
The beach cricket and a lots of sports was the rule
Now when I look, there an obese children in the house
Snacking often and their physical activity, is to clock the computer's mouse.
There is nothing wrong in businesses ensuring their continuity
So where possible that niche can be carved in the technology
Therefore there is nothing wrong in providing fuel to that fascination
The onus is on all the consumers to know the limit of that discretion.
