Underwhelming repeats itself
Whether alone or with anyone else
The trivial problems of frivolous friends
Unforeseen circumstances are unlikely for them
Pride and independence are expensively priced
The proverbial pie, I starve for a slice
Faltered strangers with altered egos
Are spray-painted mannequins with the trendiest clothes
Twenty-somethings are a sham, as am I
We're identity crises in neon lights
Cold-hearted rejections and sad-stricken songs
Of screenplay dramas but never too long
I must prove that dreams come to fruition
Despite the alibis and false premonitions
Everything's satiric, who can enjoy it?
Never the man with useless employment
Here we are, the huddled masses
Privy to the powers who teach all the classes
Reciprocation in the nick of time
A wondrous creature soon will be mine
Mountainous terrain has become solid ground
Seaside spectacles and opportune towns
Screw this humidity Juan Ponce de Leon
I have a ticket, I'm California Bound
This journey has always intrigued me
It took twenty-five years to meet my family
An 8x10 is a snapshot in the grand scheme of life
One Pacific whiff and all will be fine
An unhealthy thinker deserves recovery
Like any caged animal afraid of discovery
So here I go, soaring over erupting volcanos
Wine tastes better when you're in a chateau
All are accountable for acts irresponsible
I'm sitting, eyes closed, awake and indifferent
With a borrowed suitcase and a bag of peanuts
The view from above is simply magnificent
