 My today's thoughts

GOD'S LITTLE ACRE

GOD'S LITTLE ACRE

Letting go is a hard thing to do
We cling on till our finger tips are blue

Questions are asked, where to go from here
There is  a story to tell and it's true

The biggest problem in my life is
me, myself, and I - it's not you

How far does my world revolve from around my nose
How high does my vision soar

How far out on that limb am I willing to go
What if I take a leap - will there be a pillow below

Maybe I'll think of someone else for a change
I'm tired of  pulling this  ball and chain

Letting go of that  baggage from yesteryear
my life can begin anew

I shall try to expand my horizon and search for the better day
That grass may be greener across the way

Letting go is hard to do
Some things I can change - some I can't

What I can I will pursue
What I can't -  Lord -  I will leave to you

Life is fragile that is for real
To you - my Lord - I do appeal

I will participate in life - not just stand still
To be a giver - not just a taker

To grow and flourish here in my space
 God's little acre
