Beware The Mistaken Text

You have the wrong number
but I'll come to your dance,
"Do I need to wear a dress
or can I wear my pants?"

Your text may be an accident
and you don't know my name,
we will meet soon enough
and you'll be glad that I came.

Thank you for your text
and the info that you sent,
I may text you more often
because our friendship is meant.

I'm on my way to the dance
and it's about a quarter to eight,
I used the address you texted
and I'm right outside the gate.

I'm not against other cultures
but something just isn't right,
I may be the only white one
on the dance floor tonight.

You roasted a delicious pig
and I don't know this dance,
I keep stumbling on my feet
but I'm giving it a chance.

Sorry for the mess I left
I've bothered you enough,
I enjoyed your friends tonight
even though the conversation was tough.

You can text me anytime
and everything will be okay.
I understand your every word
"What did you just say?"

I appreciate your invitation
and I'm sorry my watch is broken.
I will admit I felt a little uneasy
with the language that was spoken.

You are a great friend to me
, "Oh what is that you say?"
"You still don't know me,
and you want me to go away?"

I thought you were my friend
and I was going to bake a cake.
you appear very annoyed
and you say it was a mistake.

"You didn't mean to invite me?"
"I'm sorry you feel that way."
I can tell that you are frustrated
and you still want me to go away.

I'll erase your number as you say
and you won't hear from me again.
"What was that you said?"
"The party was over at ten?"

I'm going now so don't you fret
everything will be alright,
"Okay, okay, I will quit talking,
"Are you sure I can't stay the night?"

"Nevermind, I got the door,
there is no need to text your friends."
oops! that was me again,
I promise this is where it ends."

"Thank you for a fun-filled night,
now I am going out the door."
I know I won't talk to you later
because you just put me on "Ignore!"
