The Holiness of God

Are we to be concerned with the holiness of God?
Do you consider such a topic to be rather odd?
The appropriate response to this question should be yes...
For there is nothing at all odd about God's holiness.

Barcrossjn3-16

God should never be approached in a casual way...
Reverence is required every single time we pray.
We come in the Name of Jesus, the sacrifical Lamb,
Who is our Only access to the great I Am!

Barcrossjn3-16

A healthy fear of God should never be ignored...
Recognition of His sovereignty respectfully implored.
The Word Holy calls attention to everything God is...
A long list of attributes are individually His.

Barcrossjn3-16

His love is holy love...His justice holy, too...
His mercy holy mercy shown to me and you.
His knowledge holy knowledge and the list goes on.
Holy Holy Holy is proclaimed around His throne!

This attribute is elevated to the third degree...
Which signifies God's holiness demands priority!
Things pertaining to His essence are not a carnal lesson learned...
Therefore, a Bibical unveiling must be spiritually discerned.

Barcrossjn3-16

Isaiah's revelation of His holiness revealed
God high and lifted up...not one attribute concealed.
As this encounter showed Isaiah his own naked sinfulness...
We should tremble at the slighted thought of God's pure holiness!

Barcrossjn3-16

The Virgin birth of Jesus Christ is a must believe!
The Angel informed Mary she'd been chosen to conceive
A Holy Child begotten as the Son of the Most High!
Holiness was planted in a womb for you and I!

Barcrossjn3-16

Sealed by His Holy Spirit...in His shadow we abide.
He separates us from the world...his blood keeps us sanctified!
His Saving Grace is the only holy image we possess...
For in Jesus Christ, alone, will we behold God's holiness!

Exodus 15:11
Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee,
glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

1 Samuel 2:2
There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee:
neither is there any rock like our God.

Psalm 99: 1-3
1 The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble:he sitteth between the cherubims;
let the earth be moved.
2 The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
3 Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

Isaiah 40:25
To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

Isaiah 57:15
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity,
whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place,
with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble,
and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Luke 1:35
And the angel answered and said unto her,
The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest
shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall
be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Mark 1:24
Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee,
thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us?
I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
